The Right To Protest  is an essential feature of any democratic society, which is protected.

The Irish Constitution (personal rights) has 3 elements in Article 40.6. including:

1° The State guarantees liberty for the exercise of the following rights, subject to public order and morality: –

i     The right of the citizens to express freely their convictions and opinions. (Article 40.6.1 i)

ii    The right of the citizens to assemble peaceably and without arms. (Article 40.6.1 ii)

iii   The right of the citizens to form associations and unions (Article 40.6.1 iii).

Politicians should know there is much concern from the public, when people are writing songs about you!
